Tux Paint
For those who want a simple paint/text tool for younger kids, try out Tux Paint. Tux Paint provides a nice interface, cool painting tools, and a stamp set that can be downloaded separately. This is Open Source software, developed for free use by anyone. There is no accompanying advertising etc, as is often the case when you download Freeware or Shareware software. A great idea would be to suggest this one to parents of younger students (perhaps in the school newsletter) for downloading at home.
