About:
Math gave me confidence, identity, and purpose as I developed into the person I am today. I sharpened my analytical mind and power of observation using the skills I learned and the problems I solved. I built a circle of friends that only continues to grow as I find more people who love numbers. I want to give back to the next generation of youth by helping them fall in love with math… particularly as I hear so much fear and apprehension of numbers.
I tutor students who try to use rote memorization to keep math at arm’s length, never truly engaging with the problems at hand and therefore never really getting to know math. I know there are more students doing this than just the ones I instruct, and so I’ve assembled this resource of math camps as one way to inspire students to find fun in math.
