The Carnegie Medal shortlist has been announced

The nominees for the Carnegie are:
Gatty's Tale by Kevin Crossley-Holland (Orion),
Ruby Red by Linzi Glass (Penguin),
Crusade by Elizabeth Laird (Macmillan),
Apache by Tanya Landman (Walker),
Here Lies Arthur by Philip Reeve (Scholastic),
What I Was by Meg Rosoff (Penguin) and
Finding Violet Park by Jenny Valentine (HarperCollins).
