While this video offers advice to female leaders about how to powerfully influence and be yourself in a predominantly male culture,  I found that much of it really is about leadership itself and applies to men as well.  Useful, focused advice.

Scott Sonnon overcame dyslexia so severe that he was hospitalized in a children's psychiatric institution. He was advised that he should not set very high his expectations of his potential. He went on to become a five-time world martial arts champion, award-winning producer and author, patented inventor, and fitness industry magnate. Scott was named one of the top 24 trainers in the world by Men's Fitness magazine, and one of the six most influential martial artists of the 21st century by Black Belt Magazine.

Nicholas Winton organized the rescue of 669 mostly Jewish children from German-occupied Czechoslovakia on the eve of the Second World War in an operation later known as the Czech Kindertransport. Winton found homes for them and arranged for their safe passage to Britain. Winton kept quiet about his humanitarian exploits for many years, no telling anyone, not even his wife Grete about his wartime rescue efforts. In 1988 Grete found a detailed scrapbook in their attic. It contained lists of the children, including their parents' names, and the names and addresses of the families that took them in. During that year, leters were sent to these addresses and 80 of "Winton's children" were found in Britain. The world found out about his work later that year during an episode of the BBC television programme That's Life! when he was invited as a member of the audience. Little did he know that some of those survivors had gathered to give him a wonderful surprise!

I don't particularly like X_Factor videos and the emotional hype that goes with them, but watch this one, and you have to be inspired, especially if you suffer from performance nerves. If this man can do what he did, so successfully, so can you!!

This is so inspirational. We can all ask ourselves, how will the rest of the world talk about us when we're gone? In the case of this police officer, he will never be forgotten.
