Ideas for powerpoint

This is a visual display of the different types of information presentation.  Deigned as a periodic table, it is well organised and can be used for all sorts of purposes - presentations, planning and information literacy come to mind.

Is it just me, or is this as a too for PowerPoint a little mis-guided?

Okay, it’s nice to see so many different options laid out like that but to by honest, the examples you get when you do a mouse-over are going to make really bad powerpoint! They’re too fiddly and will not project well. I admit I didn’t look at more than a dozen of them, so perhaps I just looked at only the 12 that woulnd’t work…

Mind you, the figure itself doesn’t claim to be for PowerPoint at all, just for visualisation. As diagrammes for books and other written publications the suggestions are fine (though even here my personal opinion is that some of them are “over-engineered” 🙂 )… they just don’t look like they would work once projected onto a screen.

Mind you, I’ve been wrong before! 🙂

Thanks for your comment. Wrong – you? Nah, never! :).

But of course you are right. I found the table when I was looking for something else in visual literacy and only glanced at it, thinking that it might have use for someone in this department.

Thanks for doing my scrutinising for me! and commenting
