I consider that an important principle of empowerment is
to identify an intention; a technique related to that
principle is to write down the statement of intention.
I consciously use the principle of intention in all aspects
of my work, and express intention frequently with my clients.
I also advocate writing down a statement of intention
Every year I've been in business
for myself online has been better than the previous one.
Recently, I decided to create an "Apprentice" program (Yes, even
before Trump) and I was extremely pleased that we had nearly
100% of my Apprentices get an online venture up and running.
I've gone back and thought about
their projects and how they developed and I came to a striking
conclusion that will be worth a lot of money to you this year if
you heed it. There was one key aspect that got them off their
butts and making money and it came down to one thing...
...A Deadline!
You can forget about making New Year's Resolutions if
you're hoping for a successful outcome. Most aren't
worth the paper they're written on.
No less than Mark Twain has written of New Year's
Resolutions, "Now is the accepted time to make your
regular annual good resolutions. Next week you can begin
paving hell with them as usual. Yesterday, everybody
smoked his last cigar, took his last drink, and swore
his last oath. Today, we are a pious and exemplary
community. Thirty days from now, we shall have cast our
reformation to the winds and gone to cutting our ancient
shortcomings considerably shorter than ever."
The biggest majority of New Year's Resolutions have gone
by the wayside before January is over and most won't
even be remembered six months later. And the reason is
pretty simple: Most are made in response to something
negative -- a habit or situation that the person wants
to change or end. And therein lies the problem - it's
hard to develop momentum from a negative response. It is
always easier to move toward something rather than away
from something.
These ten steps will help
you achieve your goals in 2007.

script and start a new one if you need to. You
have permission to look at your life from the
perspective of new and better possibilities and
unlimited thinking and then be empowered to "go
for it".
But let me give you the bad news/good news up
front. Bad news - it takes some time and effort
to sit down and contemplate, to reflect and day
dream about the life you want. To plan and set
goals takes an intentional decision. Now, the
good news - budgeting the time and energy to
plan and set goals will create insights,
excitement and ultimately great results that

Creating a
Life Mission Statement
Much like a
corporate mission statement, your personal mission
statement defines who you are, what you’re all
about, and why you’re on this earth. Why do you need
a personal mission statement?
·
It helps you make difficult decisions when faced
with the myriad of choices life presents.
·
It helps you realize how very little time you truly
have to accomplish the important things in your
life.
·
It helps you recognize when you’re off course and
steers you back in the right direction.
Do Your Goals Have
Enough Gravity?
Big goals
are not only more fun and exciting; they carry more weight
than small ones. Ambitious, serious, “weighty goals” have
attraction power.
They
attract others into the process and magnetize ideas and
resources. Big goals pull you along. They pull you through
the difficult times and help you remain diligent. They
inspire you to greater innovation and effective action.

What Worked, What
Didn't, What's Next?
By Michael Angier, SuccessNet
One of the common
denominators of successful people is their
ability to persevere when things don't go as
planned. Effective people don't allow themselves
to get bogged down in feelings that don't serve
their purpose.
On the other
hand, ineffective, unsuccessful people allow
their emotions to rule rather than their
rational and objective nature. They lament what
happened or what didn't and become victims
rather than masters of their circumstances.
We all have
disappointments. We all suffer setbacks. If
we're going to attempt anything worthwhile,
we're going to experience failure. The
mature—and ultimately successful person—sees
failure as part of success. When one method
fails, they try again with a new one. Sometimes
it takes many attempts.

direction in life, motivation to achieve something in your life
and the ability to focus on your life’s agenda.
While for
many of you being able to achieve even the most simple of tasks

Set realistic goals
The lesson here is to continue to
dream big dreams, but realize that
the short-term goals that take you
to the next plateau are the real
keys to success.
The
person with a fixed goal, a clear
picture of his desire, or an ideal
always before him, causes it, through
repetition, to be buried deeply in his
subconscious mind and is thus enabled,
thanks to its generative and sustaining
power, to realize his goal in a minimum
of time and with a minimum of physical
effort. Just pursue the thought
unceasingly. Step by step you will
achieve realization, for all your
faculties and powers become directed to
that end.
Claude M. Bristol
Setting Personal Goals
- Why? - Because you have ‘gone public’ and you
do not want to lose face or have to answer
questions about what happened to that lofty goal
of becoming first in your graduating class.
Studies prove that public goals create more
positive forward pressure. Having said that,
there are times when you might NOT want to
announce your goals to the world. Choose whom
you tell, when you tell, IF you tell! And do
so, consciously!

Brain Science

Motivational
speaker Jim Rohn once said, "I find it
fascinating that
most people plan their vacations with better
care than they plan their
lives. Perhaps it's because escape is easier
than change."
Success
psychologists say that 95% - 97% of the
people in the world
do NOT have written goals and fail, while
3-5% have written goals
and succeed.
If these
statistics are correct, then Mr Rohn's
observation really IS
quite fascinating isn't it?
Unfortunately
for most people, the odds for success are
actually
even lower, because out of the few people
who do set goals, most
don't take goal setting seriously, they
don't do it scientifically
and they only do it once a year.
Goal setting is
so important, that I always teach goal
setting and mind
dynamics first, and only THEN, do I teach
nutrition and training second.
A Simple Technique to Get
into Abundance - NOW
It happens to everyone. It's
one of those days where everything feels blocked, you're
frustrated and the dread creeps in because your financial
flow feels like it is stuck. You desperately search high and
low for any ways to get the cash flow up but it seems to
have disappeared. What do you do now?
Creative Goal Setting for kids and teens
An Indian guide who displayed uncanny skills
in navigating the rugged regions of the
Southwest was asked how he did it. "What is your
secret of being an expert tracker and
trail-blazer?" a visitor asked him.
The guide answered: "There is no secret. One
must only possess the far vision and the near
look. The first step is to determine where you
want to go. Then you must be sure that each step
you take is a step in that direction."
A dream is what you would like for life to be. A
Goal is what you intend to make happen. A goal
is the near look; what, specifically, you intend
to do on a daily basis to get there.

As we enter into this New Year we all tend to have a
heightened sense of the opportunities and possibilities that
2006 can bring. The need for goal-setting becomes more obvious
and clear. And the great thing about goal-setting is you can
keep it as simple or get as elaborate as you would like. In
fact, we have spent the last month in the One-Year Success Plan
solely on the subject of goal-setting and have dedicated over
125 pages in the One-Year Plan to exercises on the subject.
Space and time won't allow that here, but below are some
abbreviated points on goal-setting for the New Year.

Three Keys to Making
Conscious Choices in 2006
By David Steele
In this first month of a new year I'd like to declare 2006 the "Year
of Conscious Choices." Our planet would work so much better if all
choices were conscious.
(Note: see below for f`ree Making Conscious
Choices audio program.)
What does it mean to be "Conscious?"
To illustrate, I propose the following three levels of
consciousness:
